Adventure Walks- A day full of adventure just for your dog!
Our Adventure Days are offered quarterly to our regular clients, for a full day out and about exploring. Whether it be a hike to the Peak District or a day at the Norfolk Coast, we change them up everytime and tailor them to suit the needs and wants of the dog on the walk. We all love a day out to somewhere new, so why shouldn't dogs experience that too? We make it possible here at Em&Em's!
Why are they only for our regular clients?
We tailor these Adventure Days only to our regular clients as there are a few factors that need to be considered:
-How does the dog travel in the car? With some locations there can be a travel time anywhere between an hour or 2 and a half hours one way
-How do they cope in busy areas with other dogs and people around? Some locations may be busy and we want to make sure your dog would be happy in a busier enviroment, otherwise we would plan to go elsewhere
-What are their energy and exercise levels like? Some dogs may need extra rest periods scheduled in for little legs or older dogs.
These are just a few points to consider. As a responsible dog walker, who doesnt take caring for your dogs lightly, I want to be able to make sure I know the answers to all of these questions above myself from hands on experience beforehand, and I can only do that through having walked your dogs and getting to see them in these situations and knowing their lovely personalities.
Its also as a little bit of a thank you to my regular clients, as a 'hey, thank you for trusting me with your dogs all the time, let me give you an exlcsuive service', you know?
The Structure of the Day
As this is a personal service for just your households dog/dogs, we can be super flexible to whatever you would prefer. As a general basis, we aim to pick up your dog between 8-9am, embark on our adventure, including lots of photos, periods of rest, snacks and treats, and the most important part exploring the new area, and then travel home late afternoon to arrive back home between 5-6pm. This is giving them a full 6-10 hours out of the house and exploring. New sights, smells and experiences, all the things that help make a happy, mentally enriched dog that sleeps extra well that night!
